I believe that our well being is greatly affected by our early childhood experiences, our culture, and our relationships with ourselves and others. With a warm, intuitive, and empathic therapeutic style, I work collaboratively with clients to build a safe and trusting space. I strive to make clients feel valued, seen, and heard in a way that can lead to a clearer understanding of themselves and how they relate to the people and world around them. I take into account the culture, society, and family of origin that each of my clients come from in order to grasp a more full picture of their experiences. I work comfortably with clients from many different cultural backgrounds and lifestyles. I also work integratively, using a client-centered and relational style, while pulling from evidenced-based therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness based practices.
I offer a free 20 minute phone consultation to discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, what kind of support you are looking for and to get a feel for if we are a “good fit” and would work comfortably together. During this call we will also discuss fees and scheduling.
I am a graduate of the University of San Francisco and have my Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology. Over the last several years, I have worked in a variety of different settings while collecting hours and requirements towards my Marriage and Family Therapy license. I have valued my time working with individual adults and couples in a counseling clinic, with high school students in both public and non-public school settings, with children and adolescents in a residential treatment facility, and with families receiving public health services.
